Authorized company representative
Setup usually stalls when someone without authority tries it, or when they cannot finish Facebook security checks.
Who can complete setup
An owner, director, or employee authorized by the company should complete the setup. They need a personal Facebook account, because Meta Business and WhatsApp setup run through Facebook login.
- Allowed to create and manage the company Meta Business account
- Can access the email and phone number on that Facebook account
- Can complete two-factor authentication if asked
- Will work from a laptop or desktop computer
- Can sign in at developers.facebook.com (see developer access guide if registration is required)
Keep access secure
DrusyAI only needs access where it helps with setup and support. We will never ask you to share credentials with us. Enter them yourself in the correct fields during setup.
- Your company owns the Meta Business and WhatsApp accounts
- Credentials stay with your team. Never share them with anyone
- We strongly advise a credential rotation policy so access tokens and secrets are refreshed on a regular schedule
If Meta asks you to register before you can open My Apps, complete our short Meta developer access guide first, then continue with setup step 6.
Business details
Meta may check your details against public records, send a code to your business phone or email, or ask you to verify your website. If that fails, Meta may ask you to upload official documents.
Information to gather
Prepare this once, then reuse it when Meta and DrusyAI ask for your business profile.
- Legal business name and industry
- Country and registered business address
- Official business phone number and email
- Business registration or incorporation number
- Tax identification number, if you have one
- Business type, such as corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, or nonprofit
Domain and Website pages
Meta needs these pages live on your own domain during app setup and business verification. You may also need to verify domain ownership.
- Business website address
- Privacy policy page
- Terms of service page
- Data deletion instructions page
- Domain verification access (meta tag, HTML file, or DNS TXT record)
Phone number and Billing
Prepare a dedicated WhatsApp number and a card for Meta messaging billing before you start setup, so neither blocks you mid-flow.
Dedicated WhatsApp number
If the number is already on WhatsApp or another provider, extra migration steps may be needed. Sort that out before setup.
- The business owns the number
- The number can receive an SMS or voice call
- The number includes the correct country code
- You do not need this number for personal WhatsApp
- The number is not already on WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, or another provider
Card for Meta WhatsApp billing
You pay Meta directly for messaging after the free starter messages. This is separate from your DrusyAI subscription.
- Visa or Mastercard available. Meta does not accept American Express or PayPal.
- Card allows online and international payments
- Billing currency is one Meta supports, such as USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, SGD, INR, or IDR
- The currency you choose is usually locked after you add the first card.
Readiness score
Not ready yetCommon reasons for rejection
Meta business verification is rejected most often when details do not match across Meta, your documents, your website, and public records. Open each item to see how to avoid it.
Enter the registered legal entity name in Meta exactly as it appears on your official registration document. Do not shorten it, rearrange words, or add trading names. Even small differences like Ltd vs Limited can cause rejection.
Meta often needs one document that shows the legal name together with the address or phone number you are verifying. A registration certificate alone may not be enough if it omits contact details. Use a status return, annual return, tax letter, or utility document that ties those details together.
Use the registered company name, not the brand customers know. If you trade as a different name, enter the legal entity in Meta and keep the trading name for public-facing display later.
Your website should show the registered company name on the homepage, footer, About page, Privacy Policy, or Terms. If Meta cannot connect the website to the legal entity, verification often fails.
If Meta asks you to verify a phone number, that number should appear on an official document or public business record. A number that only exists on social media or an invoice template is usually not enough.
Different document types prove different facts. A certificate of incorporation may prove the legal name, but not the address or phone. Upload the document Meta asks for, or a document that clearly supports the specific field under review.
Match the address format as closely as possible across Meta, your documents, your website, and government records. Differences in building names, suite numbers, postal codes, or street abbreviations can trigger rejection.
Upload a clear, complete, current document. Cropped screenshots, low-quality photos, expired certificates, and documents Meta cannot read are common rejection causes. Prefer a full PDF scan of the original.
The person submitting verification should be an owner, director, or authorized representative. Their Facebook profile, email, and job title should make that connection clear. Using a contractor or unrelated personal account often fails.
Prefer a company-domain email such as admin@yourcompany.com. Free email addresses can make it harder for Meta to trust that the request belongs to the registered business.
Meta needs to open your website and legal pages without logging in. A parked domain, coming-soon page, or blocked staging site makes it harder to confirm the business.
Choose the business type that matches your registration documents, such as corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, or nonprofit. Selecting the wrong structure can delay or reject verification.
Meta prefers original official documents. Screenshots, heavily cropped images, watermarked copies, and edited PDFs are more likely to be rejected than a clean scan of the issued document.
